Shore Projects was created by a group of friends who realised none of them wore watches so their ambition was to launch a brand that creates not only stylish but quality timepieces that could be worn every day.
Shore Projects is the brand that started my love affair with timepieces and what attracts me to these watches is the minimal beauty of their design. I appreciate the simple appearance, clean style, and triangle accents; the monochrome colour combinations and interchangeable straps mean the look of the watch can change instantly plus all the designs are unisex. The original collection was incredibly minimal yet the new series features a vintage inspired twist.
The Project 3 series is stunning. The new timepieces feature 316L marine grade stainless steel, scratch-resistant crystal glass, 100m water-resistance, and Japanese Miyota quartz. The watches are inspired by venerable explorer watches and designed to mirror vintage timepieces. This is exactly what drew me to the Barra watch with creme face and brushed black mesh strap. Its unique style makes it stand out from the crowd; the dial is strikingly different and perfectly captures the aesthetic of an explorer watch. The Shore Projects 3 watches with their mesh straps and striking vintage dials can toughen up an outfit making it a little sharper and more robust.
The Shore Project Barra watch certainly adds something special to my collection of timepieces, it's more of a statement piece and one I will most definitely be wearing often.
