I have been getting really excited about beauty lately. I’ve had a few new products to play with and I’ve fallen in love with a make-up routine that requires minimal application, is super effortless to apply, and yet looks fantastic.
I’m not a fan of wearing foundation and like to stick to light coverage whenever possible. I love the Shu Uemura BB Cream because of the gentle coverage it provides; the formula is lightweight while the formula perks up my skin erasing any signs of fatigue or discolouration and allowing my natural complexion to shine through.
Kiko Eyebrow Sculpt Automatic Pencil in 06 (Blackhaired)
Kiko really does have quality products at awesome prices. I’m usually a bit of a make-up snob and stick to high-end for most of my purchases but I’m glad I took a chance on a couple of products from the Kiko range because I have fallen in love with them. This double-ended eyebrow pencil matches my brows perfectly and when applied looks completely natural; it’s quick to apply and the built-in spoolie makes fast work of shaping brows.
This is my absolute favourite eyeshadow for fast application and a flawless finish. A quick swipe on each eyelid with an additional dab in the crease creates a little depth. I instantly feel more put together when I'm wearing this and it takes minimal effort. The formula is buttery soft while the colour is a natural bronze to compliment any skin tone.
Kiko Full Coverage Concealer in 01 Light
I have troublesome "tired eyes” so to banish them I dab a little of this full coverage concealer on my dark circles. It has a tendency to crease so I apply a little powder to set it and I’m good to go. A simple and effective little product that I’d definitely recommend as an alternative to more expensive high-end concealers.
Tom Ford Eye Colour Quad in Cocoa Mirage (Shade #4)
Although usually I apply a lick of eyeliner I’ve been keen to avoid wearing it whenever possible lately. I always find removing make-up is a chore when I have been wearing eyeliner yet going without doesn’t seem right. I’ve been opting for a fuss-free option instead, a sweep of chocolate brown along the waterline with shade #4 from the Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage palette. It gives me that pop I’m looking for without the fuss of liquid eyeliner.
I have long thin lashes and I like my mascara to fluff them up from root to tip. I’m not usually one to stray away from my favourite mascara but the Fat Brush Mascara by EyeKo was worth being disloyal for. The formula is carbon black, water-resistant, and doesn't smudge, crumble, or flake plus it's super easy to remove; the result is thick, defined lashes that last all day.
I'm slightly terrified of bronzers but adding a little colour to my pale complexion is absolutely essential. I stipple a little of this long-wearing, neutral toned blush onto my cheeks and blend out for a natural finish; it adds just enough colour to warm the face without looking overdone.
Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Honey*
Fuss-free lip products are my favourite; I want a touch of colour, a nourishing formula, and minimal commitment. The Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments are absolutely dreamy and this warm nude tint called Honey is perfect for everyday wear. It's a soft nude shade that pairs nicely with any make-up look and the formula makes it easy for applying on the go.
